This was the most decadent desert I ever made…(to me at least). I needed a desert to bring a picnic last year for alot of people and I decided to bring cherry cheesecake because I had a good recipe for it. In a haste I was getting my ingredients and utensils and discovered my pie tins were trashed, not salvagable. I was not going to use them for my great desert. So I improvised and with quick thinking I had a big bowl, big enough to feed about 10 people. Besides the desert is plenty rich. So, next time you had a year ning for cherry cheesecake, forget the pie pa n that only gives about 6 small pieces…serve with a serving spoon this rich cheesecake with it’s layers of goodness.
1 pkg of graham crakam crackers (2 sleeves will do)
1 can (14 oz) cherry pie filling
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese (room temperture)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
8 oz. whipped topping
1. Soften the cream cheese, then mix with the condensed milk and whipping cream.
2. The first layer with be the graham crackers. Break them so that they will fill of the bottom of the bowl.
3. Layer cheesecake filling, then cherry pie filling.
4. Repeat with the graham crackers, cheesecake filling, cherry pie filling.
Depending on the depth of the bowl, the top of layer shoukld be the cherry pie filling . You can put the whipped topping if you desire.
